NG6 (D03) Pressure Reducing Valves

NG6 (D03) pressure reducing valves are sandwich plates that hold one valve station at a constant, lower pressure than the rest of the system. They mount between the directional control valve and the sub-plate, with the NG6 interface to ISO 4401-03, CETOP 3 and NFPA D03, so one pump can supply stations that need different pressures.

The version decides which line is reduced. Version P reduces the supply pressure for the whole station, so both actuator lines see the lower pressure. Versions A and B reduce the pressure in one actuator line only, for example to limit the clamping force of a cylinder in one direction while it retracts at full pressure.

Choose a setting range in which the required pressure falls comfortably, since a smaller range gives finer adjustment, and check the maximum inlet pressure and the flow against the circuit. A reducing valve holds a set pressure; to protect a line against overpressure, use a pressure relief valve. Every sandwich plate adds height to the stack, so the mounting screws of the directional valve must be longer by the clamp length of each plate.
