Hydraulic Distributor Blocks
Hydraulic distributor blocks split one pressure line into several outlets, so a number of consumers can be fed from a single supply without building a chain of tee fittings. A solid block with drilled channels has fewer joints than a tee assembly, which means fewer potential leak points and a more compact, tidy installation.
A distributor block has one or more inlets and a row of outlets connected to a common internal channel. Mounting holes let it bolt flat to a machine frame, a tank wall or a mounting plate, so the hoses and tubes are supported at one fixed point.
To select a block, count the consumers to be fed and choose at least that number of outlets. Match the port thread to the fittings on the hoses or tubes, and check that the pressure rating of the block is above the maximum working pressure of the circuit. The body material decides corrosion resistance: galvanised steel suits most indoor hydraulic systems. Close any outlet that is not used with a matching plug before the system is pressurised.
